$20,000 classroom Technology Challenge!

UPDATE: 12/6/16 Thanks to all our generous donors, we made it!  We partnerned with Western Colorado Community Foundation who put in $30,000, and together we were able to donate $50,000 in technology to D51 schools!  Let's keep raising money for technology in our schools.

We are grateful to once again be partnering with the Western Colorado Community Foundation

With the Mesa County School District shifting education to Performance Based Learning , the need for technology is greater than ever!  Think about how our daily life has been customized...Starbucks, Netflix, iTunes or Pandora, Shutterfly, online Shopping, and much more!  All of the ways that the world responds to our unique needs is due to smart technology.  In order to provide our students with an education that fits them and prepares them for the 21st Century, we need to provide technology.

Google Chromebooks for our Elementary schools means learners have access to the internet, web-based learning platforms, ready access to their work and their teacher, and builds the daily interaction with tech that will be required to compete in a global job market.  This does not mean that the teachers disappears, and computers teach.  Not even close!  Teachers are thrilled to get more devices in their classroom to help students connect with a wider world, learn how to do research and interpret multiple sources of information, become digitally literate with multiple types of devices and cloud services, and work on projects even during testing!
