On August 8th, school and community leaders got together at the Downtown Farmers Market for a light-hearted event. Kids got a kick out of dunking an adult, espeically a principal!
For $1 a throw, we raised money for much needed school supplies. Through this and other efforts, the Foundation gathered over 300 supplies to get the right tools in childrens' hands so they come into the classroom and learn!
Special Thanks to Superintendent Steve Schultz, Board of Education President Greg Mikolai, Baord of Education Member Jeff Leany, GJHS Principal Jon Bilbo, D51 Foundation Past President Roy Blythe, D51 Foundation Vice-President Dan Prinster, MVEA President Darren Cook, and Wells Fargo Downtown Branch Manager Kelly Finn. Much appreciation to Bananas Fun Park for the Dunk Tank, GJ Fire Department for the water fill-up, and Downtown Farmers Market.
