APPLY FOR GRANTS

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING GRANTS

Each year, the D51 Foundation uses proceeds from its White Iced Celebration and other fundraising efforts to fund specific needs in School District 51. Since 2018, the D51 Foundation has donated over $140,000 to 360 D51 staff members for professional learning.

Applications are accepted twice per year; deadlines are February 15 and August 31.

BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED GRANTS

These grants provide K-12 students with financial need the support to allow them to pursue extracurricular activities. Since the beginning of 2020, approximately $25,000 has been granted to 308 students.

This grant fund was created by the family of Karl Bloom who passed away last year. Karl’s life was an example to so many people about how to give back to your community. He was a dedicated local volunteer in Scouting, HOSA, and a band parent.

The 10th Round of Bloom Where You Are Planted Grants will be open March 1-April 12, 2024.
