D51F hosts several fun community driven events throughout the year to raise funds and support teaching and learning in District 51. Our fundraising events support technology for students and professional learning for D51 Staff.
The annual White Iced Celebration is a time for the entire community to come together to celebrate public education and the key role it plays in Mesa County. It’s an evening to honor Outstanding Academic Growth Schools and White Iced Award Recipients. Attendees at this elegant event enjoy appetizers, desserts, and Signature Cocktails along with live music and dancing, a silent auction, photo booth, and even a s’mores bar! We encourage attendees to join the celebration by wearing cream, gold, silver, and white.
Stuff the Bus has been supporting our students for over 20 years. Many of our D51 students can’t afford to purchase school supplies. Started by Townsquare Media, Stuff the Bus has partnered with Mesa Mall, D51 Foundation, and D51 Schools to help provide much needed school supplies. Every summer, the Stuff the Bus makes its appearance in the mall and around town. People are encouraged to purchase supplies and “stuff” them in the bus. This is an opportunity to donate directly to pay for school supplies. The supplies will be purchased and delivered to schools in August.

During Teacher Appreciation Week each year the D51 Foundation honors teachers and staff with the sale of paper dolls containing messages of gratitude for the incredible educators in District 51. Students, families, coworkers, and community members can purchase a doll, select a message, and D51F will deliver the dolls to the recipients. Donors can even include a coffee card for that special teacher or staff member!
