Ways to Give

It’s easy to support the work of the D51 Foundation! Your gift goes to improving teaching and learning in District 51. If you prefer, you can choose how your donation is used by specifying a particular fund:

Professional Learning, Innovation & technology, and Staff & Student Wellness

Gifts to this fund help the D51 Foundation fund our core priority areas: funding professional learning opportunities for D51 staff, innovation and technology for D51 classrooms, and staff & student wellness initiatives.

Lunch Lizard

Donations to The Lunch Lizard fund provide a year round food resource for so many of our children in District 51. The Lunch Lizard provides food at D51 alternative schools throughout the year, and for kids across the community during the summer.

Bloom Where YOU ARE Planted Fund

Donations to the Bloom Where You Are Planted fund provide grants for k-12 students with financial need to pursue extracurricular activities like karate, piano lessons, art classes, soccer etc.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations made to D51 Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please consult with your tax advisor about the tax-deductibility of your specific gift.

Consider making a donation to leave a legacy through the D51 Foundation’s endowment with the Western Colorado Community Foundation.  Their mission is to promote charitable giving, build and manage charitable legacy funds and endowments, and provide grants, scholarships and other resources to benefit the residents and communities of western Colorado.  A gift to the D51 Foundation Endowment adds to the sustainability of the foundation and the larger the endowment, the larger the annual payout that supports the D51 Foundation.  It’s a gift that keeps giving for years to come. Do you have a passion for a certain school?  Maybe you’d like your donation to go to a specific program or school.  You can designate your gift to the D51 Foundation for a specific school, program, or event and 100% of the funds will be granted just as you’ve designated.  It’s a donor driven donation.  If interested, please email: Angela.Christensen@d51schools.org or call (970) 254-5108.
